Praising God for His Work in the Life of Our Church

  • The Youth through their Stuff the Sock mission over Christmas collected 212 canned food items for our Food Panty.
  • Our Change is really making CHANGE!  This semester all of the Prairie Grove and Farmington schools received $100 from the Student Help Fund contributions. This is all from the Noisy Bucket offering that is collected!  $100 was given to each of the 5 Farmington Schools and all 3 of the Prairie Grove Schools. Here is how this money was used to bless students in our area:
    • Clothing items purchased for students who needed jeans, shirts, sweats
    • Tennis shoes for several students who needed shoes
    • Coat for a student who only had a sweatshirt
    • Socks
    • Undies
    • Personal hygiene products: soap, shampoo, conditioner, deodorant, toothbrushes, toothpaste, and feminine hygiene products
    • Field trip costs were paid for kids who would have not gotten to go otherwise
    • Backpack program food: over 60 students weekly need food to sustain the weekend
    • A glucometer to check students blood sugar and snacks for students who have low blood sugar
    • Practice leg with wounds for the students in the Stop the Bleed Class to learn and practice on.

Mission and Service Opportunities

  • Warm Sock Drive:  The youth are collecting warm socks for the elderly in our community.  Please choose socks that are not to difficult to pull on and off.
  • Children’s Ministry volunteer for Wednesday Night Live:  We need another children’s ministry volunteer on Wednesday nights.  If you can help on Wednesday’s this semester please contact Melanie Barnes, mellyki@yahoo.com
  • Youth Ministry volunteer for Sunday Night events:  We need adult volunteers to help be a second pair of eyes and hands and help us follow Safe Sanctuaries on Sunday Nights.  You do not have to volunteer every Sunday evening but if you could help 1 or 2 Sundays when needed that would be a great help.  Please contact Casey Luther, caseymluther@gmail.com

YOUth Announcements

Do not let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for believers in speech, in life, in love, and in purity.
